Selling Home Basics in Ann Arbor, MI

A City Which Will Sell Your Home:

Ann Arbor, Michigan is a city with neighborhoods that vary in home styles, models and sizes. Whether its the northwest, northeast, central, southeast or southwest, this city is filled with charm, fun and activities that whole families can enjoy. Selling homes in Ann Arbor might take a little time, but once people see all that this city has to offer, part of your selling tricks is done for you. Culture events, fine dining, educational institutes, historical edifices, top retail and shopping boutiques abound, are all top selling attractions for potential Ann Arbor home buyers.

Ann Arbor Sell My Home

Showcase Your Home:

Other specific home selling basics include:

1. Cleaning service. Yes, you must clean from top to bottom because potential buyers are smart shoppers and will want to see every nook and cranny. Clean the window blinds and windows, baseboards and de-clutter attics, basements and garage. A touch of paint for many of these areas, also adds a cleaner and more appealing environment. Also, keep faucets repaired and toilets flushing.

2. Make your home, more of a showroom with limited personalized items. Remove family photos, especially if they are on walls. Replace those personal photos with pictures of flowers or a Michigan scene. Research how to stage the different rooms of the house, such as bedrooms, kitchen, living room and dining areas. Potential buyers need to envision their own decorating ideas and not see so much of your present memorabilia’s.

Know When The Time Is Right:

3. Be prepared! Real estate agents or your own personal marketing, may bring people knocking at your door, at any time. Practice keeping the dishes washed and put away, make the beds and keep a lovely bed spread on top, organize the closets, by keeping less clothing in them and keep the bathrooms clean and smelling good. Also, keep any outdoor yards mowed and trimmed. Also add some flowers if possible, if not real, then plant artificial plants or flowers, just don’t have people look too closely.

4. Find out from a realty specialist, the right time or season to begin advertising your home for sale. Spring and summer seem to be the favorite time of year for persons to move and to buy. Also, choose a realty broker who knows the industry and who knows the exact time of year for selling. The latest computer technology can also be used bring potential buyers into your home, with a video cam or take still pictures that are professionally done.

Hosting The Sale Of Your Home, Finances and Security:

5. The hard part of selling home basic tips include the finances. If your home has been on the market for a while without a bite, then maybe it is time to consider lower your asking price. It is a risk, but one that is much better than moving onto a new home and location, yet your old property is lingering. Always be prepared to negotiate and to throw in something free, like gardening service.

6. Be a perfect host! Remain positive about your home and don’t talk about any negative events about your life and why you are selling your home. Find out if buyers have special interests, like children, then show them how existing rooms work as a child’s play room or bedroom or how a room can be converted into these rooms. Ask them their names if your realtor hasn’t already told you, and use their names in a friendly manner, as you talk to them about your home.

7. Even though we would like to trust everyone who comes to our home, we can’t. Lock up or remove valuables so that your home tours aren’t stressful.

Your Ann Arbor Home – Love It or Leave It

Do you still love your Ann Arbor home? If you take one look around and your first thought is no, then maybe it’s time to consider selling. The home you bought a couple years ago may no longer serve your growing family, or maybe you need to downsize since your children have moved on to their own house. Whatever the reason, if you don’t love your home anymore, it’s time to leave it. Everyone should enjoy calling their property “home.”

Ann Arbor MI Real Estate

Why Sell My Home?

In recent years, Ann Arbor’s real estate ha been shifting toward a seller’s market. Home buyers are on the hunt and are looking for the right place to call home. Market values have steadily risen and it’s easy to make a return of investment. With the slim selection of houses, you’ll be sure to have buyers looking at your home within just a few days. They’ll want to make the first move before another buyer does. Plus, if you’re looking for a better home to live in, why not sell? Happiness is the most important part of living, and your home should reflect that.

The Love It or Leave It Guarantee

Another reason you should sell, is our “love it or leave it” guarantee. When you sell your home in Ann Arbor, you’ll be on the hunt for a new, better home. And since we’re on the topic of happiness, we want to ensure that you’ll love where you’re living. If you buy a home through us and are not pleased with it within the first 90 days, we’ll sell it for you without any charge for our services. We want you to be totally satisfied with your property and will work with you until you love the home you have. [For more information, read our article: Love It or Leave It Guarantee]

Ann Arbor’s Alley Bar

Alley Bar Ann ArborLiving in Ann Arbor isn’t like living in a suburb. Locals love getting out, spending the night eating at delicious restaurants and seeing popular movies. And with great evening starters, you need to cap off the night with a fun experience — which can be found at the Alley Bar. As one of the most distinguishable buildings in Ann Arbor, the Alley Bar has built up a legendary reputation where locals can meet and enjoy a casual atmosphere of drinks. Located in downtown Ann Arbor, it commands a convenient location for people to cap off the night with a couple cocktails after a great time eating out. It’s the perfect mesh between creative mixers and favorite cheap beers. The atmosphere maintains the “Goldilocks” standard, where it keeps things casual, but not too casual for local residents. So, if you’re looking for a fun weekend out-on-the-town, Alley Bar is one place to go.

Bringing the Pickle Back

One of the Alley’s signature campaigns of late has been “bringing the pickle back.” When you first see one, you think it’s a shot of whiskey followed with a shot of pickle juice, but that’s not enough to describe the experience. Test your sour face and see why it has become a popular Ann Arbor drink. That’s the only way to understand the experience at the Alley Bar.

One Day Snowed In Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor has its share of snow during the winter months and it’s not uncommon to be snowed in from time to time. But as the weather comes and goes, you need to make the best of every situation – this one being your home. Having the right house means you’ll have plenty to do in case you ever do get snowed in. Here’s a short list of in-home activities you can try:

1. Bake Cookies in Your Kitchen – As the snow storms around you, there’s no better activity that warms up the heart and belly than baking cookies. The smell of the cookie dough baking slowly in the heated oven is a mouth-watering event. And when it’s time to take them out, there’s no greater feeling of enjoyment. Warm, melt-in-your-mouth cookies are a true counter to snow.

cookies

2. Play Board Games in the Living Room – Families can easily get bored when they’re locked in the house, so one good activity to bring everyone together is by playing a board game. The best place, in my opinion, is in the living room – especially if you have a fireplace. Letting the warmth of the fire keep you toasting while challenging your family members is an unforgettable experience. It really transforms you Ann Arbor home into a lovable memory.

3. Take a Hot Bath–One of the greatest relaxing experiences anyone can have in their house is a hot bath. Sinking into a tub full of warm water, knowing you don’t have to get out until you’re ready is the perfect activity for beating the snow. Nothing melts the winter away than an old-fashioned hot bath.

Living in Ann Arbor

Finding the right home is key to living in Ann Arbor. The last thing you want is to be stuck in a mediocre house with the snow trapping you inside. Make the best out of your living and discover your dream home today. It’ll work wonders in the winter!
