Washtenaw County’s recorded foreclosures are down more than 23 percent from last year.
According to Lawrence Kestenbaum, Washtenaw County’s Clerk and Register of Deeds, 79 Sheriff’s Deeds were recorded 
by Washtenaw County’s Register of Deeds office this October.
“In 2011 to date we have recorded a total of 964 Sheriff’s Deeds, compared to 979 and 1,256 in 2009 and 2010, respectively. This year’s total to date is 76.8 percent of last year’s total to date, and continues as the lowest annual count we’ve recorded since 2007.”
