Today, we’re talking all about local craft beer! Jake VanAtta, the Marketing Director of the Beer Grotto, is a big time hockey player and an expert on craft beer.
The Beer Grotto is a craft beer and boutique wine lounge that offers Michigan over 48 taps and dozens of types of fine wines. There are three locations: downtown Dexter, Anne Arbor, and Lansing.
At the Beer Grotto, you will be able to try anything in the store before you buy it. Jake wants you to find a beer that you will love. The bartenders, or beer geeks and cork dorks, are 
certified and are great at understanding your tastes in order to find the perfect beer for you. There’s no Bud Light or Miller here, but they can find something similar and convert you to a craft beer fan!
The Beer Grotto opened in three different locations in order to hit three very different markets. The beer scene is only going up, and the beer industry in Michigan is growing continually, as new breweries open every week. Additionally, the craft beer industry earns over $6.6 billion in revenue nationwide, and provides thousands of jobs. There are 159 breweries in our state alone, and Michigan needs places like the Beer Grotto so you can try all this great beer!
