Polo Fields
Polo Fields in Scio Township is an exclusive upscale development of homes just west of Ann Arbor proper. It encompasses a large 18 hole, 72 par golf course, banquet and conference facilities as well as a fitness room, pro shop for golfers, indoor practice facility with video screen for different courses, pictured below, wedding packages, resort style pool, tennis courts. One of my favorite spots is the outdoor patio with views of the course, driving range and putting practice.
Last week, I accepted an invitation from Diana M. Kuenzli , Director of Membership and Marketing to meet at the Polo Fields off Zeeb Rd. We had a great meeting and I look forward to collaborating with the Polo Fields and General Manger Steven Berger. Their focus is on the family. Upcoming is the 3rd Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby. Some other fun events is the Drive-In Movie Night, Couples League Championship, Wheels ‘N Wine Car Show.
Living Polo Fields offers a great lifestyle, it first opened back in 1995 with the latest part of the development, called “The Gallery” – a beautifully designed community of large quality homes just being opened.
Homes in Polo Fields range from $400,000 through to $850,000. Every homeowner in Polo Fields is given a social membership in the Country Club with a $50.00 additional fee on their home owners insurance. This plus a $75.00 minimum for dining in one of several dining facilities, pool snacks and banquet facilities.
The community has an active homeowners association which has its own website where you can read all the association documents. Great if you want to learn more about the community and any restrictions.
Additionally there is a community website where homeowners share recipes, share local news and upload photos of the community!
The community has a variety of homes currently 10 available ranging from 6 bedrooms to 4 and 5 baths to 3. Polo Fields active homes square feet ranges from 5,815 to 2,756 and prices from $489,900 to $1,099,000. List price per square feet ranges from $128.80 to$236.75. Director Frank Cappa recently rented a home there while working on a film.
13 homes have sold this year in the Polo Fields with an average sold price per square feet of $141.43 and average sold price of $430,753 with a median sold price of $432,000. Homes are selling for an average list price to sale price ratio of 95%. Homes here are located in Scio Township, Ann Arbor Schools – Haisley Elementary.
